The ICA is a worldwide body specifically created to benefit the global colored gemstone industry by advancing and promoting the knowledge and appreciation of colored gemstones.
Our Mission
The ICA, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1984 and is now comprised of nearly 700 gem industry leaders from mine to market, including miners, gem cutters, suppliers, retailers, trade associations, gemological laboratories, academia, museums, and more, from 47 countries who are devoted to colored gemstones.

ICA, our members, employees, and Board of Directors, stand in solidarity in the fight against systemic racism and injustice. We are an Association of all creeds, colors, nationalities, and religions, comprised of nearly 700 gem industry leaders from all over the world. Inclusiveness is intrinsic to the very nature of ICA and we are accepting of all human beings and support all the diversity that makes this world and the colored gemstone industry rich and unique.
