Criteria for ads for advertisers
The size of InColor is 8.5 inches by 11 inches, but all ads must account for a bleed of 0.125 inches all the way around.
Therefore the total size of the psd or pdf file (300 dpi) must be 8.75 x 11.25 inches. This also means that individual pictures that are incorporated into a background must also be at 300 dpi. Anything below or above 300 dpi will not be accepted.
It is highly recommended that all text be at least 1 inch from all edges. If not, the text and/or images near the edge may be cut off.
Since these are color print ads, all files must be in CMYK. RGB files will not be accepted.
If the image contains large black spaces or a black background, the black must be a “rich black,” in other words, it must have the following values: C=60 M=40 Y=40 K=100, or something similar. “Registration black” (C=100 M=100 Y=100 K=100) will not be accepted.
