Message from the CEO - October 2026

Hello ICA family,

I'm writing this fresh off my first show season with ICA, and I have to say, it was everything I hoped it would be and more.

Hong Kong was remarkable. The energy was incredible, and I felt it every single day. I was able to get to both shows and experience firsthand the true depth of this gemstone community, its people, its history, and everything that makes it so special. Meeting so many of you in person, some for the first time, was a real privilege, and your warmth made this new CEO feel right at home.

Beyond time with members, I also sat down with various industry stakeholders to discuss future collaborations, conversations aimed squarely at enhancing your experience and meeting the needs you've shared with me. More to come as those ideas take shape.

Our Members Reception was a highlight I won't forget, and none of it would have been possible without Ashish Vijay of AV Global, whose generous hosting made the evening what it was. Thank you, Ashish. We planned for around 150 guests and ended up with 326, but honestly, it was never about the numbers. What struck me most was the quality of the room. I was thrilled to see everyone networking and truly enjoying themselves after a long day at their booths, and that is exactly what I see ICA does best, bring people together not just to do business, but to learn from one another and connect with people they might never have crossed paths with otherwise.

On the show floor, I made it a priority to meet and listen to as many of you as I could. Your honesty about what's working and what isn't means a great deal, and it's already shaping how we move forward together. I left Hong Kong feeling truly connected to this community, and energized about what's ahead.

With that energy in mind, membership renewal notices are going out to everyone. Renew by November 15th and you'll receive a 5% discount, and that's just the start. We're actively building new member benefits right now, more support, more resources, more reasons to be proud to call yourself part of ICA, and as those roll out, they'll be yours simply by being part of this organization. We believe ICA is the best in the world at what it does, and we want that value to keep growing for you, year after year.
