Professional Bio
Completing the Diploma of Gemmology with the Gemmological Association of Australia (GAA), Alan went on to become a member of the teaching staff at the GAA.
Alan is a current member of the GAA New South Wales (NSW) division management committee and is one of the Board of Studies & Examination representatives. Alan has also previously served as NSW co-Vice President.
In addition to gemmology, Alan went on to learn the basics of jewellery design (CAD and technical drawing) at the Jewellery Design & Management International School (JDMIS) in Singapore. Following this, he learnt gem cutting and rough gemstone analysis with the Institute of Gem Trading (IGT) in Thailand.
