Bonas Group outlines benefits to miners of tenders

Bonas Group gave a presentation at the ICA Congress outlining the benefit of tenders to colored gemstone miners.

Tenders are the most flexible and cost-efficient route to the market for miners, Tim Denning, who heads colored gemstone tenders at Bonas, told the ICA Congress plenary.

Tenders deliver a one-stop-shop service, or services tailored to the vendor’s needs, as well as detailed data collection and analysis on each event, with the possibility to host tenders in any country or jurisdiction, Mr Denning said.

He also referred to benefits of tenders to buyers, such as provision of consistent assortments from one sale to the next, and ease of viewings.

Mr Denning pointed out that a large supply variation can cause instability.

However, if supply grows gradually, the market can grow to absorb it.
