Professional Bio

Fiona Tan is a GIA-certified gemologist and one of the very few globally recognized Canadian Ammolite appraisers. With deep roots in the gem trade across North America and Asia, she has made outstanding contributions to the Canada–China Ammolite trade and cultural exchange.

A renowned expert in Aurora 23 Crystal, Fiona is the pioneer who introduced this uniquely radiant Canadian quartz to the Chinese market, earning recognition as the authoritative voice in the field.

In the turquoise world, Fiona serves as the official Chinese market representative for multiple American turquoise mines, including Sleeping Beauty, Golden Hill, and Number 8. She is the exclusive agent of the legendary Sleeping Beauty mine’s former owner, Monty Nichols, and has brought authentic, old-stock Sleeping Beauty turquoise to collectors around the world.

Fiona is also a passionate advocate for rare colored gemstones. She has played a key role in promoting Greenland Ruby, Aquaprise, and Aquadite, expanding their global reach.

During the global pandemic, Fiona collaborated closely with the Dominican Republic Blue Amber World Museum and the Larimar World Museum, becoming a leading promoter of Blue Amber and Larimar in Asia. Her tireless efforts helped preserve and elevate these Caribbean treasures in global markets.

In Europe, Fiona represents Munsteiner exclusively in China. She is a trusted ambassador for the exquisite collectible works of Bernd, Tom, and Philipp Munsteiner, introducing their cutting-edge lapidary art to elite Asian collectors.

Fiona Tan’s work bridges continents, cultures, and collectors. Her name is synonymous with integrity, vision, and passion in the global gemstone world.
