1st International Poster Competition
Dedicated to Colored Gemstones
Dear Friends, Reporters and Editors
This is a second copy of a letter sent to you all on may 9th 2001 which included a full report about the 1st International Poster Competition dedicated to Colored Gemstones.
I am sending it again just to be sure that in the recent issue of your magazine you will include an article about this rather new and exciting event.
This competition was my initiative and it was approved by Mr. Israel Z. Eliezri – the President and the Board of Directors of ICA. It took place during the ICA Congress held in Sydney Australia (April 29th – may 3rd). It was the first time that such a promotion toll was used by ICA to promote the usage of colored gemstones.
We had 15 posters sponsored by Gemstone Companies owned by ICA members from five countries around the world.
The posters reflected different angels of the usage of Colored Gemstones. The variety of colors, the uniqueness of the gems, their charm and beauty and the cultural heritage connected with gemstones.
The competition was sponsored by Miller Freeman – Organizers of Hong Kong Jewellery show and publishers of Jewellery News Asia (English and Chinese edition).
